 REBECCA IS BASED IN LONDON

After studying at Art College in London and Brighton in the 80s Rebecca worked in a women’s print workshop in London. Photography, design, screen printing and teaching were all part of the work.  Empowering under represented groups were at the heart of the workshop ethos.

Rebecca now has her own art practice and works part-time in the Digital Education Team at University College London.

2019 Hackney Museum Exhibition Women on Screens

I co-curated this exhibition documenting the work of Lenthall Road Workshop women’s screen-printing and photography workshop where I worked in the 80s.  This exhibition shared some of the radical visual imagery of the Lenthall Road Workshop, based in Hackney from 1970s-1990s. With posters, protests, and printing and photography classes, this collective made a unique contribution to the feminist and community arts movement. Find out more here
